I do not understand, for some reason I just cannot get into Animal Collective, yet I lovelovelove Panda Bear's solo stuff, and I love Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti which is a similar sort of thing (except better, ILU Ariel).

Fuck fuck fuckety fuck. I just spilled a glass of water all over my bed and then stepped on my full tube of moisturiser while getting a towel, the lid wasn't on so it squirted everywhere.

Also, I'm still hung over from last night. It was awesome though, apparently there's a video of me and my friend with our shoes off just full on dancing our asses off in a room by ourselves. We're real cool, we brought the party.

I am still in a lot of pain, it wasn't an ear infection, it was just accute tonsilitis that was only in my left tonsil, go figure. But the antibiotics seem to be making a difference and I haven't come out in a rash so it isn't glandular fever (mono) or something crazy like throat herpes. Yay!

More importantly, my aunt got her final test results back yesterday and she is cancer free! That's not to say it won't come back, but still, it's better than nothing.

I got two dresses and a pile of records from a usually shit op shop today. One dress is this tribal 80s one that looks rad now I've removed the shoulder pads and taken it up about 25cm, the other one is a nile green 60s empire line.
I was amazed at the number of good records, I got 2 Hawkwind ones, Melanie, Nat King Cole, and some spirituals and assorted campness. Usually there's just a lot of Barry Crocker and Kamahl.

The best one is called "Love is a Piano Accordion" though.

I was looking at pro-tools, but the only ones i could find torrents for you need digidesign hardware as well :(


Today I bought a Vivienne Westwood dress for 138 pounds, I have wanted it since it came out, and it was finally on sale, tax free with free postage, but still, $280 :(
It is gorgeous though.

ANDANDAND bodyfaders sell hypercolour fabric by the yard now, and I found a how to guide for the le sac dress by American Apparel, and you only need a yard and it's just rectangles with a few seams and a long string. So for the same price as a hypercolour t-shirt I can make a versatile dress that also costs less than the real thing. I really love hypercolour.

I went to Haigh's today, to buy easter eggs. And by eggs I mean CHOCOLATE MURRAY COD:

My Dad grew up on the Murray and I make a point of getting him ridiculous presents, so this was perfect! Funny thing is, these are probably the only edible Murray cod in existence, the real thing tastes like mud and slime and more mud.

The place was absolutely PACKED with people doing last minute shopping like me. It used to be one shop but they expanded into the one next door and knocked out the back section of the dividing wall. There is a register at the front of each section and one at the end of this wall, both the front registers had queues of easily 30+ people going all the way back and then down to the front again. But for some reason hardly anyone was queueing for the middle register, seriously, the two main lines weren't moving at all and I went to the middle register and was behind two people and got out in 3 minutes and the lady gave me free eggs. I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
Some lady was in the other line and she glared at me for getting served so quickly BUT SHE DIDN'T MOVE LINES!

Still, it took me long enough to find the place because I get confused about Royal, Walk, & Block arcades. I needed to go to Block, but I was in Royal.

So I'm looking at some website about the "Paul is Dead!" conspiracy because I like reading about conspiracies and serial killers. There's all this stuff about hidden clues.

I have to do a 20 min presentation for my Sociology of Poverty class next week. I'm doing mine about aid in Africa and more sustainable alternatives, I really like Dambisa Moyo's ideas and wanted to find a good interview that wasn't half an hour of some boring man asing about her parents or people absolutely misrepresenting her for daring to say that Bono, and throwing money at corrupt governments are achieving nothing. This is short, entertaining and is even better that I hoped for when I saw he was interviewing her. He is brilliant.

A great way to actually do something helpful is to lend money as part of www.kiva.org, they provide interest free financing to small businesses and entrepeneurs that is paid back in installments, and you can then reinvest. So you can do a whole lot of good for $25. I'm onto my sixth loan now.

Fuck pupe, man. Some people have stolen photos from a sales post I made ages ago. I reported them and nothing happened, I got some other people to report them and nothing happened. The items didn't get deleted, they didn't get brown boxed.
This is fucking stupid, I had links and everything proving they are MY items and MY photos and pupe just ignores it, but then other people get brownboxed for whiting out their backgrounds so it looks too professional!

As far as casting, I have forgiven Matthew Goode. I was mistaken, I thought he was Sebastian in Brideshead Revisited, but he was Charles. He would be ok as Charles, but only Anthony Andrews can ever be Sebastian for me. I liked Goode as Ozymandias. But I do have a thing for blond sociopaths, so there you go.

Also, Malin Akerman was fucking hot. I don't understand why she would keep being a wispy blonde in RL when she looked so fucking hot as an angular brunette. Seriously, she's still pretty as a blonde of course, but damn she worked the straight fringe and brown hair.

I'm dyeing my hair red again. I may regret it, buuuuut I look really good with red hair, I'm not going to get it blonde anytime soon, and it's Autumn now. I like having red hair in Autumn.

The best part about it being Autumn is that it isn't summer anymore! Obvious I know, but it's actually RAINING! There hasn't been anything more than a few drops for two months now as far as I can remember, but there's been a steady drizzle or actual rain for the past few days. All the fires are finally under control. I'm just suprised there weren't epic storms and floods to round off a season of apocalyptic conditions.
The rain makes me sooooo happpppyyyyyy.
